1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using StoryBuddy: AI Tale Maker, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app or this website.
2. Description of the service
StoryBuddy is an app that helps families create personalized bedtime stories, illustrations, and read-aloud experiences using profile information, prompts, and optional inputs such as child photos when a parent chooses to upload them.
3. Eligibility and parental responsibility
StoryBuddy is intended to be used by adults, including parents and guardians, on behalf of children. You are responsible for:
- Deciding what information to provide in child profiles and prompts.
- Reviewing generated stories and images before sharing them with a child.
- Choosing whether to upload a child photo for personalization.
- Ensuring you have the rights and authority to provide any photo or other content you upload.
4. AI-generated content disclaimer
Story text and illustrations may be generated with the assistance of AI systems. Generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, odd details, or results that do not reflect your expectations. StoryBuddy is provided for family entertainment and convenience, not as a source of factual, professional, legal, medical, or educational advice.
5. Optional photo uploads
If you choose to upload a child photo, you represent that you have the legal right and authority to provide that image for personalization. You should not upload any photo you are not comfortable sharing for that purpose. Optional photo upload is not required to use StoryBuddy.
6. Subscriptions and billing
StoryBuddy may offer subscriptions or other in-app purchases through Apple’s App Store. Prices, billing periods, introductory offers, and availability are shown in the app and/or App Store at the time of purchase and may change from time to time.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account subscription settings.
- Refunds, if any, are handled according to Apple’s policies and applicable law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use StoryBuddy for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the service.
- Use StoryBuddy to generate or distribute content that violates the rights of others.
8. Your content
You retain rights you may have in the prompts, photos, and other content you submit. You grant Futuron Inc a limited right to host, process, transmit, and use that content as needed to provide StoryBuddy, including generating stories, illustrations, narration-related features, support, security, and service improvements.
9. Intellectual property
StoryBuddy, including its software, branding, design, and associated materials, is owned by Futuron Inc or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as allowed by law, you may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the service itself without permission.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to StoryBuddy if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, the service is being misused, or continued operation would create legal, security, or operational risk.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
StoryBuddy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Futuron Inc disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free outputs, or that generated content will always meet your expectations.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Futuron Inc and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or content arising out of or related to your use of StoryBuddy.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where Futuron Inc is organized and operates, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection law in your place of residence.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, website, or other reasonable means. Your continued use after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised Terms.
